Brian Garland
Information Network Security Specialist
Brian was born and raised in Minden, Louisiana. In 1987 he started a career in construction of coaxial cable as a laborer. Propelled to Foreman in less than 6 months his career in construction lasted for 4 years. In 1990 Brian took a job as an installer for TCA Cable TV in his home town of Minden, La. His career there spanned 17 years and here to Brian excelled. In 4 years he was promoted to Head Technician in charge of maintaining and servicing the electronics for video, high speed internet service, and telephony over fiber optical and coaxial cable. Then a second promotion six years later earned him the title of Field Service Manager overseeing 2 cities and 23 employees. In 2007 he started working as a Project Manager for Tele-Cable Services; his duties include overseeing the financial and man power requirements in the daily construction of fiber optic and coaxial cable. He is also finishing his Associates Degree at BPCC, majoring in Information Network Security Specialist and hopes to graduate in 2011. Brian is currently married to Wendy for the past 7 years. They have five children, and still reside in Minden.
